NASCAR’s only black driver Bubba Wallace reveals his conversation with fellow driver Chase Elliott after the George Floyd incident. Wallace reveals his chat with Chase in an interview with Dale Jr.
Bubba Wallace was talking to Dale Jr in his podcast ‘Dale Jr Download‘. He reveals his experience of the last few days. And Wallace and Dale discussed the ongoing protests across the United States.
Consequently, Wallace talked about his personal experience with racial discrimination. And revealed that his cousin was killed in a policeman shooting incident.

Additionally, He talked about his recent performances on the track and their issues with the car. Bubba retired from two recent races because of a wheel hub issue.
Bubba reveals his conversation with Chase Elliott
Wallace was one of the first NASCAR drivers to come out in support of the protest against racial discrimination. And only after his stand, did other drivers come up and address racial discrimination issues.
In the podcast, he reveals that he sent a message to Chase Elliott urging him to take a stand. He said, “I texted him last night. I said ‘hey man, you’re the biggest name in our sport right now, bud.
“‘Like it or not, you’re the biggest name. And your voice carries over much more than mine in our sport.’ I said ‘don’t be silent on this, please. Don’t let it go under wraps.’”
After that, Bubba revealed that Chase asked, “What’s really going to change?”

Bubba replied, “Imagine two followers that you have. One is a person that is going to go hate somebody, go kill somebody. And the other one is somebody who is getting discriminated against.”
After that, he said, “Imagine you saying something and both of those people look at that and they’re like ‘Wow, that changed who I am today. I’m not going to hate on anybody anymore, and I’m not going to allow to be discriminated against anymore. I’m going to stand up for what’s right’. Imagine your words changing somebody else’s life.”
Recently, Chase Elliott came out in support of the protests. And posted a tweet supporting the ‘BlackoutTuesday’.
