And with this new beginning, many have laid down new hopes for the two-time Cup Series champion. In a recent episode of Door Bumper Clear, Brett Griffin opened up about Kyle Busch and his switch to Richard Childress Racing (RCR). Moreover, the NASCAR spotter shared a piece of advice that he feels will help Busch.
While talking about the 37-year-old driver rejecting an eight-figure deal and admitting his mistakes, Griffin said, “This is the point in life where we watch Kyle Busch transform into the modern-day Kevin Harvick. Kevin Harvick had a long list of, in Kyle’s words, ‘stupid things that Kevin did throughout his career.’ Then all of a sudden it flipped, (and) he stopped doing them.”
Furthermore, Griffin said that Busch too is at a point where he needs to embody more maturity. And hence, it would be better for the two-time champion to move on from Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). He said, “And I think this is the point where in Kyle’s career, he gets to RCR, he shows more maturity. Here’s my only advice, and he didn’t take advice from me obviously, but move on man. It’s over. Your Joe Gibbs marriage is done.”
