It’s not uncommon for NASCAR drivers to compete in other racing series. In fact, it acts like a nice break from the pressure of the series, just racing for the fun of it. Now, Kevin Harvick might have revealed something similar, with Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The two seem to be working on a pretty awesome project together.

Recently, a fan asked Harvick on Twitter whether he will compete in the Superstar Racing Experience series. And for those who don’t know, SRX is a dirt racing series founded by Tony Stewart. Of course, as the name suggests, it caters to all the stars of Motorsports, including Matt Kenseth, Chase Elliott, Helio Castroneves, and if you didn’t already guess it, Tony Stewart.

Well, the driver denied any plans. But he revealed that he’s working on something with a former Cup Series driver and arguably the most popular man in NASCAR, Dale Jr.

It seems the Stewart-Haas Racing driver plans on competing in some Late Model Races. However, the jaw-dropping part is that he mentioned he’s building a Late Model stock with Junior, “somewhere”.

Now, the “somewhere” part is still a bug question mark, but it’s safe to assume the duo is planning something big. There is also a great chance of them racing together.

In fact, Junior even replied to that Tweet, assuring that the defending champion will not regret his decision.

The fans are quite thrilled about it too!

But there is one Tweet that deserves special attention, especially with the drama Harvick had last race.

This fan pointed out the issues with Next Gen cars as the last week’s race at Darlington saw Harvick’s car go up in flames.

Kevin Harvick feels NASCAR is not fast enough at rectifying the issues with the Next-Gen Cup Series stock car

Next Gen of stock cars has been quite the cultural shock for drivers and fans alike. But it has posed a lot of issues for the drivers. The most shocking one came at Darlington when Harvick’s #4 went up in flames.

The driver feels NASCAR’s response is not fast enough. He said, “It can’t be slow. Safety cannot be slow. This car is screwed up as far as the way that it crashes. Whether the data says it or not, every driver in this garage will tell you it’s not right and it hurts.”

“Feet hurt, hands hurt, head hurts and there has to be a better solution. NASCAR has been slow to react and the teams are always worried about money and that doesn’t do anything for the drivers.”
