After his impressive win at Phoenix Raceway last weekend, Christopher Bell brought about the much-awaited victory for Toyota. In that particular race, his smart thinking gave him a huge lead over everyone, as he took advantage of the much-disliked new aerodynamics package for short tracks.
Just like his resilient mentality that helps him win, he’s also known for staying calm and collected even when crashes happen. This has surprised a veteran racer who doesn’t usually see things that way.

Christopher Bell’s views regarding on-track feuds caught listeners’ attention when he appeared on Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s podcast. The conversation centered on the recent clash between Erik Jones and Chase Briscoe. Dale’s online guest Bell reacted to the matter by pushing for fair play and sportsmanship, saying, “If it’s unintentional, then I am the first thing, either post-race or if I don’t see them post-race, then I’m trying to call them and be like, ‘hey, dude, I really didn’t need to do that. That was not my intention.”
Taking a different view from the 49-year-old’s attitude, the Phoenix victor noted, “But yeah, if you are on the receiving side of it, and they don’t reach out to you, it is underneath your skin, buddy! And you’re like, You need redemption.”
Observing Bell’s proper driver etiquette, Earnhardt reconsidered his earlier stance and somewhat agreed, saying, “Yeah, I felt the same way. Perhaps I did appreciate the call. If I was upset on the receiving end, maybe I did want the person to acknowledge it in a conversation.“
The 29-year-old is very motivated to achieve a solid finish in the next race at Bristol Speedway, much like many of his fellow NASCAR drivers. After overcoming challenges with short-track rules, the desert king is optimistic about the next race on the newly paved track, which happens to be one of his favorites.

After three years on dirt, Bristol Motor Speedway’s spring race is back on concrete, and Christopher Bell is one of the favorites for Sunday’s spectacular show. Despite the new aero package introduction, he showed his skills by dominating last Sunday’s race in Phoenix.
It’s obvious how excited he is about Bristol as he said, “It’s literally my favorite race on the schedule. I’m very thankful we get to go twice this year. It’s been a track we have excelled at the last couple of times we have been there — we’ve been close.”
JGR’s no. 20 driver is well recognized for his proficiency on dirt courses, having won three straight Chili Bowl Nationals in the NASCAR off-season. His performance at Bristol last September, where he led for 187 laps and finished third, solidifies his favorite status for this weekend’s race.
