One of NASCAR’s biggest rising stars, and certainly one of the sport’s most popular personalities, Hailie Deegan, was recently announced to be taking part in the SRX Series race at Missouri. It will be Deegan’s first appearance on the Federated Auto Parts Raceway.

The young Truck Series driver will be facing off against names like Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Michael Waltrip, Bobby Labonte, Marco Andretti, and others in the race.

And it’s not like she’s entering the race as an underdog either. Deegan registered her best SRX Series result last year with a second-place finish at Knoxville, behind Tony Stewart.

Naturally, many fans reacted quite optimistically to the news of Deegan taking part in the race. With some of them wishing her well, and some of them asking her to show the old guard, how it’s done.

“You go girl! Pedal to the metal,” wrote one fan. “Good luck keep the car clean and get that win,” wrote another.

One fan’s reaction was, “Awesome, you got this …..you show them boys how its done.“There’s no doubt about her talent, hopefully she won’t be pushed up the series in nascar to quickly,” was another’s.

“I wish you the best Hailie,” a fan wishes her while one wrote, “Show them old school boys how it’s done!”

In an interview earlier this year, Hailie Deegan opened up on how she just wants to race as much as she can, be it on asphalt, dirt, oval, or road course, she just wants to race.

“I think it’s just going to be a good experience to be able to get seat time,” Deegan said.

“I feel that’s one thing that I’ve really buckled down and said for this 2022 year that I just need to get as much seat time as I can, whether it’s in dirt, circle track stuff, whatever I can drive,” she added.
