As he braked hard to gain an advantage, Jones took to the curbs aggressively, causing a loss of momentum. Unfortunately, this led to a slight contact with the side of Bilicki’s #78 car, resulting in Jones spinning out.
Despite the spin, Erik Jones skillfully maneuvered his car, avoiding a caution and rejoining the race, determined to make up for the lost ground. It was in the heat of the moment. Right after the incident, Erik Jones let loose his frustration over the team radio.
