Back in 2014 at the Martinsville Speedway, Kurt Busch and Brad Keselowski engaged in a fierce duel. It resulted in a lot of contact and plenty of damage for Keselowski. What must have made the Penske driver even madder was the fact that Busch went on to win the race. Unfortunately, the media made the situation a whole lot worse by egging them on and trying to fuel a feud.

Following the race, an ESPN anchor tried to bait Busch into an explosive reaction. This was because Kurt Busch was known for having a bit of a temper and they wanted to gauge his response to Keselowski’s fighting talk. The #2 driver said, “You know, once or twice when it happens, you start to go, ‘Hey, you know, it happens’. When it happens repeatedly, you just realise who the person is, at fault and you got to show them that you’re not going to take that.”
How did Kurt Busch respond to Keselowski’s comments?
Brad Keselowski then proceeded to challenge the then Stewart-Haas Racing driver, in what can only be interpreted as a brawl. When the ESPN anchor pointed out the challenge, the driver refused to take the bait. He insisted that he was more focused on his race win. Busch even said that some driver caused an accident on the pit road. He was trying to avoid it when Keselowski bumped him.

Busch noted that the incident happened very early in the race. So he put it behind him in order to battle it out for the win. He insisted that that should be the real story, not a petty feud that Keselowski was trying to create. However, the anchor did not leave the subject alone, and Busch finally snapped. He said, “We won, we’re in the Chase. We have our job to do to be in the Top 16. So we’ve got our things we need to be worried about. So you clowns trying to egg us on, isn’t going to do anything.”
