The antitrust lawsuits against NASCAR are not giving any relief to the co-owner of the 23XI team. One thing to deal with is the team going with the open entries from next season, which means no guarantee to the race. But going ahead with the serious situation, tackling the media’s question doesn’t seem like something one would be fond of, at least according to Kevin Harvick.

In a recent sitdown on his Happy Hour podcast, Kevin Harvick dropped a few words of wisdom for Michael Jordan.

in Harvick’s honest reaction over Michael Jordan amid lawsuits struggle

With the way things have swung throughout the trial, first with the decisions going against Michael Jordan and the rest of the plaintiffs, and then being allowed to race as open teams for 2025, the lawsuit against NASCAR has certainly been a tense stand-off. Amidst all of this, Harvick had a few words for the retired NBA pro.

“You can’t hide from it. It’s still there, right? You want to have these great interactions with Michael and the things that he does. You know that the press is going to, they’re going to push and you know, if he’s in something and they have an opportunity, they’re going to ask. And that just makes him guarded, I would assume. And you know, I hope that well, I mean, there’s just no way to hide from it. I mean, the drivers can’t hide from it and they’re just going to be annoyed by that question that gets asked and it has to be asked,” he said on the podcast.

Being a legendary athlete in the NBA and co-owner of the team with prominent drivers like Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick on your side, it won’t be easy to escape the media, at least for Michael Jordan. However, after a federal antitrust lawsuit, the situation can become quite frustrating overall. He definitely wouldn’t want to complicate any situation for himself and his team with the misrepresentation of his statements. At the same time, Jordan hasn’t kept quiet. Once the initial lawsuit was filed, Jordan made his stand on things clear.

He said, “Everyone knows that I have always been a fierce competitor, and that will to win is what drives me and the entire 23XI team each and every week out on the track.  love the sport of racing and the passion of our fans. But the way NASCAR is run today is unfair to teams, drivers, sponsors, and fans. Today’s action shows I’m willing to fight for a competitive market where everyone wins.”

At the same time, Kevin Harvick was happy for Tony Stewart, after the former SHR owner made millions from the sale of their charter to Front Row Motorsports, something Harvick went on to discuss.

Kevin Harvick’s loyalty lies with Tony Stewart

Kevin Harvick shares over a decade of friendship with Tony Stewart. This loyal friendship was purely the result of Harvick’s and Stewart’s continued journey in the NASCAR Cup Series together, especially since they celebrated victories together, especially the first Cup Series that Kevin had for the SHR in 2014. However, a year after his retirement, the announcement of the closedown of SHR wasn’t a news piece to move on for Kevin as well.

However, as the news rolled over the internet, Harvick knew his old friend could still cut his losses. He explained, “When I first started watching the whole thing take place, I’m like, ‘Man, NASCAR is kicking butt. This is not going to be very good for the teams’,” He further added, “Then the judge switched, and all of a sudden, everything swung towards the teams… I’m happy that the charters and the sale for SHR went through, I’m happy that they’re able to get the charters theoretically.”

For Tony Stewart, the sale couldn’t come at a better time. He wasn’t just fielding a team in NASCAR, but in the NHRA as well, and neither sport is cheap. Stewart repeatedly spoke about the difficulties individual owners like him face in the sport. Now, with the sale to FRM and a charter in escrow for 23XI to purchase, things are looking much better for Smoke.
