You might not think of Donald Trump as a sports enthusiast, but he’s been making waves in the sports world for years. Trump has always had an inkling for sports from his iconic “Battle of the Billionaires” feud with Vince McMahon in the WWE to hosting the Stanley Cup champions Florida Panthers at the White House.
Recently, he made a splash at the Daytona 500, riding around the track in his presidential limousine and drawing cheers from the crowd. Now, Trump has had a run-in with Bubba Wallace over the noose controversy. “Always deal with the hate being thrown at you with LOVE!… Love should come naturally as people are TAUGHT to hate. Even when it’s HATE from the POTUS.” Wallace said in the aftermath of the incident. Although this happened back in 2020, the 23XI Racing driver didn’t seem to have gotten over it. And when he heard about Trump’s return to Daytona his candid reaction was – “couldn’t care less.”
So there were enough reasons for another controversy to spring up during his visit to NASCAR’s biggest race of the season. But, surprisingly, everything went smoothly and the reason behind it was his message to Make America Great Great Again at the Great American Race. At least, this is what former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick felt about POTUS’s latest visit to Daytona.
