It has been a season full of surprises in Xfinity! The latest bout of good news came with a public announcement from DGM Racing. The Xfinity Star Ryan Ellis is all set to welcome a new move in his NASCAR career. After completing a journey of 71 races, this move came as a shocker for many fans! The news came amidst rumors of internal friction about the deal not working out in favor of Ryan Elis.

Ryan Ellis is all set to bid farewell to Alpha Prime and make a fresh start with DGM Racing for the 2025 season. He has to date made over 150 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The last three seasons marked his exclusivity with the Alpha Prime Racing team only. He currently sits in the 22nd position after battling through 29 races in 2024. However, it is still not known much about which car the current No. 43 driver will be handling.

Before the announcement, there were speculations about a possible rift between Ellis and DGM Racing. There have been a lot of conversations over the last few weeks and it’s really exciting to get this news out there! Definitely focused on maximizing the next 4 races with @TeamAlphaPrime and my 43 group, big fight for the top-20 in points.”

The team owner for DGM Racing, Mario Gosselin, also shared his excitement about this new addition: “We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to our family and looking forward to advancing our Xfinity program together. Solidifying next year’s season this early on is huge for our small team.”

DGM Racing currently has two full-time and one part-time car. One is driven by a host of Chevrolet drivers, while the other is taken care of primarily by Kyle Weatherman. The team has also seen five top-10 finishes in the 2024 season. However, will Ellis be able to add value to the team statistics?

Amidst the new partnership, there are rumors of a possible rift between Alpha Prime and Ryan Ellis owing to Ellis’ inability to make it to the top 5 of the top 10 throughout the season. However, Ryan Ellis was seen as quite candid about this new venture and expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards APM when he said, “Caesar [Bacarella], Tommy [Joe Martins], and the entire group gave me a massive opportunity, and I feel like I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am to have been a small part of the beginning of APR’s story. I wish them nothing but the best going forward and I can’t wait to race against them and their lineup next season.”

Formerly known as Martin Motorsports, since the inception of Alpha Prime, Ryan Ellis has been an integral part of the time. The venture came into life holding Caesar Bacarella’s fitness venture to ultimately support upcoming talent like Ellis.

Speaking of this transition, according to Ryanellisracing.com, Ellis mentioned, “Having the support of my sponsors through this entire process as I transition to a new team is something I’m extremely grateful for. I wouldn’t be where I am today without every one of my partners, their belief in my abilities and continued support mean the world to me.”

Ellis was involved in 31 out of 33 events in the 2024 season for Alpha Prime Motorsports. Yet his ranking in the charts remains #22. Do you think Ellis’ move to APM is a strategic move that could improve his statistics?
