NASCAR drivers have a massive appetite for horsepower, and it’s not a piece of cake to astonish a NASCAR racer unless the kick is too much to handle. Nonetheless, Xfinity Star Parker Kligerman found himself in an utter sense of disbelief as he saluted the last Dodge Challenger rolling off the production line.

But what’s so special about this car that shocked Kligerman? Well, the pitch-black muscle boasts a whopping 1025 HP, which is way more than the capped limit of 650 HP in the Xfinity Series. So, it’s natural for him to fall for it. However, Kligerman’s bid adieu to the car took an unexpected turn as fans grabbed the opportunity, taking jibes at NASCAR.

Being an Xfinity Series driver, it’s quite unassuming to have an affinity toward cars, especially horsepower-heavy cars. But the Dodge Challenger is no ordinary car, and its features speak out loudly.

Powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine under the hood and producing a whopping 1025 HP, the blacked-out SRT Demon 170 didn’t fail to shock a stock car racer, let alone the general public.

But sadly, the otherwise upcoming models of the car won’t be roaring on the streets anymore, following which a revelation was made on X, unveiling its sad end and captioned, “The last Dodge Challenger has rolled off the line…The last model, an SRT Demon 170 in Pitch Black, features a powerful 1,025-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. The discontinuation also marks the end of platform siblings Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300.”

The mere unveiling of the SRT Demon was sufficient enough to astonish Kligerman. He paid his respect and reshared the tweet and wrote, “1,025 HP with a warranty”

The Xfinity Star’s post didn’t go as he might’ve expected it, as fans didn’t forget NASCAR’s ever-ending reluctance to increase the horsepower. Currently, a Cup Series car has a horsepower cap of 670, followed by the Xfinity Series at 650 HP, and Truck Series at 450 HP.

Upon the revelation, one fan took a sarcastic jibe at NASCAR for resisting the ask for increasing the horsepower and wrote, “Maybe if we up the HP in the Cup car, Dodge might come back”

Another fan didn’t hold himself back from bashing NASCAR’s insufficiently powered cars and commented, “@NASCAR hold my beer. We have 500hp get you some of that”
