Just four years back, Kyle Weatherman made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut with Rick Ware Racing. After trying his hand with multiple teams, he has finally settled in a full-time capacity with DGM Racing for 2024. The 26-year-old will be driving the #91 Chevrolet Camaro with DriveSmart Warranty being his anchor partner next year.

Naturally, Weatherman couldn’t help but feel delighted with his new role. As reported by Jayski.com, he said, “I can’t express how grateful I am for the opportunity to run DGM Racing’s No. 91 full time next year! The men and women at DGM put their all into racing, and I am happy to call this team home for the next 33 races. We’ve had a lot of great runs together, and I’m confident we will carry that momentum into next season.” Moreover, the excitement was shared by his team as well.

Together, DGM Racing and Kyle Weatherman have enjoyed a good partnership. With six top-20s in thirteen starts, they will be hopeful of more success in the near future. The team’s owner Mario Gosselin spoke very positively just after the announcement.

He said, “Kyle is a well-rounded racer with a lot of knowledge and speed! His dedication to the sport is unmatched, and I am really looking forward to having him join us in the shop and at the track for a full season. I’m proud to partner with DriveSmart, an organization that shares the same family values as we do, and I look forward to achieving new milestones with their support.”

Last fall, Dale Earnhardt Jr highlighted Weatherman’s talent in his podcast The Dale Jr Download. Back then, Junior referred to the Missouri-born driver as an under-funded driver. He even expressed his wish to put in an additional entry with JR Motorsports and sign Weatherman.

While it is difficult to rule out him driving for Dale Jr in the near future, his 2024 fate is sealed with DGM Racing. Not many are aware but Weatherman once lived with Cup Series driver Chris Buescher. In fact, the RFK Racing driver remains a mentor and has a major influence on the 26-year-old.

Hopefully, like how Buescher progressed in his career in the 2023 campaign, even Weatherman will find a similar route of success in 2024. Unsurprisingly, the fans are looking forward to seeing him on the track as they expressed their delight with the announcement.

Even with his part-time role in the Xfinity Series in the 2023 campaign, Kyle Weatherman impressed plenty. In fact, along with his on-track commitment, he also worked on the Chevrolet simulator for Hendrick Motorsports. Without a doubt, that was going to attract some sort of attention.

Fortunately for him, DGM Racing took the initiative before other teams could act. Naturally, the NASCAR fandom loved the idea as they expressed their happiness on the news on social media. One fan said, “So so excited about his news. Love Kyle and DGM and can’t wait to see both in 2024.”
