Apart from wrestling, and of course stock car racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a football fanatic. And it’s possible that he likes the sport a tad bit more than NASCAR.
Here is how Dale Earnhardt Jr became a Football fan
In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Dale Earnhardt Jr revealed that he has been a football fantasy fanatic for quite some time now. When Yahoo Sports’ Fantasy Analyst, Matt Harmon asked Earnhardt how he got into it, Earnhardt replied, “Yeah, we’ve got a league. It’s called the basement league.”
“The reason why we call it the Basement League is because we do all the drafts at my house in my basement. I have a little bar downstairs. And that’s just why we call it the Basement League. But it’s been around for at least 15 years.”

He said; “So, when I started playing fantasy, man, I’m watching other teams. I’m learning about other players. I know all of these things about the game that I paid no attention to before. I was only probably tapping into about 10% of the enjoyment of the game until I played fantasy.”
