When you have two or more family members competing in the same sport, eventually, they will face off against each other. The same was definitely true for NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch. In a conversation with Graham Bensinger in 2021, the two brothers opened up about the rivalry. According to them, things really came to a head at the All-Star race in 2007 and got to a point where they were not on speaking terms.

In the final few laps of the race, both of them were running in the Top 5. The younger Busch was just setting up an overtake on his older brother, and there was just enough room to squeeze past. Kurt believed that there was no room, but Kyle insisted that there was, which was how he got into that position.

As per Kurt’s version, Kyle lost control of his car and ended up clipping him. Owing to that, both of them crashed and were out of the running to win a million dollars. Obviously, both brothers blamed each other for a long time, and their loss was Kevin Harvick’s gain, as he won the million dollars.

On the other hand, Kurt Busch still held his ground as the older brother and insinuated that Kyle had a lot to learn. In the end, it was their grandmother who finally forced the siblings to bury the hatchet.
