As the 2022 season comes to a close and with the next season just months away, Hailie Deegan’s future remains in doubt. Earlier, she had a one-off chance to race in the Xfinity Series, where she performed well. However, despite the performance, she wasn’t able to confirm a seat in the series. Ford has been working hard to get Deegan into something soon. Recently, NASCAR insider Bob Pockrass gave a hint about where Deegan might be heading.

When asked if Majeski made any announcements for 2023 trucks, Pockrass stated, “If ThorSport makes switch to Ford, expect ThorSport full-time lineup to remain the same except for Deegan to replace Eckes.”

Deegan did not have that great of a campaign in the Truck Series and left many with doubts. But once she got that Pristine Auctions Ford car in the Xfinity Series for one race, she was able to prove that with good enough equipment at hand, even she could battle her way with other drivers.
However, there was significant hype behind Deegan being pushed into the Xfinity Series after her debut performance. However, despite Ford’s efforts, there weren’t any seats available. But if she makes it back to the Truck Series with ThorSports for one more season, there is a decent probability for her to get that much-deserved promotion, probably in the 2024 season.

Another thing that would help her case at the moment is the fact that she is still young. Despite the failures in order to find a seat, she can always look forward to getting a better opportunity for another year. Surely, Ford will put up their best foot ahead to help her advance through the ranks of the sport, too. It’s just a matter of time now for Deegan.
