Ahead of this weekend’s race at Loudoun in New Hampshire, Bell accidentally revealed the lesser-known secret of Chase Briscoe joining Joe Gibbs Racing replacing Martin Truex Jr. The team had refrained from fueling the speculation and decided to hold on to the announcement, but Bell’s slip-up has now ended the speculation spree.

This news spread like wildfire and soon the reactions started to pour in. However, out of all the reactions, Kyle Larson’s humorous response certainly caught everyone’s attention. Taking to his X account, Larson wrote, “Man totally blind sided by this news! Wishing @chaseelliott the best on his new adventure at @JoeGibbsRacing. Have enjoyed you as a teammate! 😂 Good Luck #d19.”

The HMS star tried to help Bell cover up his fumble and named his teammate Chase Elliott as the next JGR star. But, truth be told, the damage is already done, and who knows, Bell might be getting an earful from his team boss, Joe Gibbs, at this very moment. However, Larson’s response on X didn’t stop the banter, more fans joined and started sharing their sarcastic replies on the whole ordeal.

It wasn’t just Larson who had jokes about the whole situation. Even the fans online joined the hype train. Trying to stage a similar confusion, a user brought the Kyle Busch angle into the conversation and also dropped a hint about returning to HMS. “Kyle are you staying in the 8 next season.”

Truth be told, Larsson stays away from unnecessary drama or activity on social media. But this incident just lured him into trolling the entire NASCAR community. However, this was just good humor, but some fans online almost took Larson’s comments seriously. “The way I nearly believed this and was about to be so disappointed 😭😂.”

Nascarcasm is the one who usually comes up with such cheeky responses online on X. There, a few fans were trying to confirm if he had taken over Larson’s X account and posted on his behalf. “Can’t tell is this is really @KyleLarsonRacin…or if @nascarcasm hacked Larson’s X account.:p”.
