Hendrick Motorsports star driver William Byron has been in the headlines ever since his win at the Daytona 500. The driver of the #24 car clinced back-to-back wins at the crown jewel NASCAR event, but it seems like his stardom isn’t restricted to the confines of the oval. And going by the rumor mills it seems like Byron might be cooking up a romantic story behind the scenes with pop star, Sabrina Carpenter.

 Ever since these rumors started to float, the NASCAR community has been on overdrive trying to find a connection between the two. This trend wasn’t just restricted to the fans as Byron’s teammate Alex Bowman has also chimed in on this saga. And let’s just say that he is confident in his teammate’s ability to spark up a magical connection with Carpenter.

Alex Bowman on William Byron’s relationship rumors

The rumors surrounding a potential relationship between NASCAR driver William Byron and pop star Sabrina Carpenter began circulating after a social media prank. Where a parody account created a Photoshopped image suggesting that William Byron had sent Sabrina Carpenter a flirtatious message on Instagram, sparking widespread speculation about a possible romantic connection.

Despite potential refusal from both parties, the 27-year-old HMS star shocked fans with his unexpected responses in an interview with TMZ.com.“You know, they do a really good job with Photoshop nowadays, so it was a good parody account.”  Although no response can be seen from Sabrina as of now, what Alan Cavanna shared on his X, gave fans another moment to cheer for their favorite star, where he wrote, “If he makes that happen he’s just winning at life. He’s a baby-faced assassin” – @Alex_Bowman, on @WilliamByron and Sabrina Carpenter 

Bowman considers Byron like his little brother, “I don’t think William realizes this, but he’s like a little brother that I’d never had. Even though he has had more success than me lately. It’s been a lot of fun coming into Hendrick Motorsports with him. Being around and watching his evolution as a driver. I like William a lot, he’s one of my favorite people in the garage… We can come up with more nicknames for him if we want, though.” He said to the NASCAR journalist. 

‘Slick Bill Byron’ nickname that he thought was for Byron didn’t really work because it didn’t have much meaning behind it. Bowman admitted that he just thought it sounded cool. Instead, the nickname “Baby Face Assassin” became more popular among fans and teammates. The term “Baby Face Assassin” suits William Byron well because he looks young and innocent but is very competitive on the track. 

Although this is just a rumor as of now, fans’ speculation couldn’t come to a halt as the NASCAR two-time championship four parted ways after the breakup with his girlfriend.

Byron and Blaney parted ways

Willian Byron and Ryan Blaney’s sister, Erin Blaney, reportedly broke up around November 2024, since the two started dating in 2019. Although the confirmation came from neither individual, the rumors were backed by strong speculation of Byron attending the NASCAR Awards ceremony in 2024 alone, and the two unfollowed each other on the social media platform.

However, the two started their relationship was an even surprise for Ryan Blaney as he found from other sources, mostly from Byron’s friend as he stated in an interview, “I wanted to mess with him before the race and tell him that I slyly figured it out. But I didn’t, People always ask me, ‘Are you mad that Will is dating your sister?’ I don’t care. She’s 22 and can do whatever she wants. And I like him. So, it’s all good,”

But now that Byron seems to be in clear, who knows he might stir up a romantic saga with the American pop star.
