A lot of us have nostalgic memories of watching our favorite cartoons when we were kids. One such cartoon was SpongeBob SquarePants. However, even after all these years, a Hendrick Motorsports driver seems to be still fond of the show.

Recently, William Byron made a rather hilarious clip and shared it on his social media. The clip attracted quite a lot of attractions and made fans take a trip down memory lane. Mostly, due to the voice-over being used from the hit TV show.

The video imitates an interaction between SpongeBob and another character. Although, it is Byron and his spotter mimicking the voice and tone of SpongeBob characters. The video was a reference to how far and up the spotters stand at tracks such as the Daytona 500. Also how they are constantly connected to each other via team radio.

Hence, the radio test is one of the first things drivers and their spotters do before starting a race. After all, the last thing you want is to get into the race and have no communication with the person that is providing you with situational awareness.

It was certainly humorous to watch the innovative and comic take on radio communication between the spotters and respective drivers. It also gave a really good view of how high up the spotters have to stand for the race. Perhaps that’s where some lucky fans should be given the chance to watch the race sometimes, right?
