While NASCAR drivers are some of the most fierce athletes in the world, even they need peaceful hobbies to wind down after the on-track adrenaline rush. And for William Byron, that stress-busting activity perfectly fits as Legos. Not only was the #24 HMS driver a literal ‘Lego Master’ on a Fox show that aired in 2022, but the 26-year-old can now also relive his winning moments with a Lego set of his own!

William Byron continues ‘building’ his relationship with Lego

When William Byron’s long-time girlfriend, Erin Blaney, introduced the sim-racer turned Cup-winner to the world of Lego, the aim was to give the HMS driver something to do other than racing. But after figuring out how much he enjoyed the ‘analytical’ nature of the bricks, Byron embarked on a new obsession that landed him right at the ‘backdoor’ of Lego.

While Byron was just a newcomer in the world of NASCAR when he appeared as a Lego Master, he now not only holds a Daytona 500 win in his hand but has also made a striking image of himself after the Netflix series. Naturally, a collaboration seems to be in the works, with Byron hinting at the same. He recently shared with the media in Atlanta, “Yeah I mean, we’re working on it for sure. I’d love to have a Lego car out there l think they can do so many unique things with that design..”

Fast-forward to Saturday and Byron further shared a Lego set on X. The #24 driver shared a frame-by-frame recreation of his Daytona 500 winning moment but in the world of Legos. The Lego rendition was complete with the Axalta scheme Camaro ZL1 as well as confetti in the form of small Lego dots.

William Byron summed up the similarity himself; My new favorite LEGO set. The resemblance is uncanny.” While it’s worth mentioning that Lego already has a NASCAR Next Gen car available for sale, a set that has a Byron mini-figure and the #24 Chevy would certainly sell like hotcakes.

After taking a look at all the Buzz building around a possible collaboration between Lego and William Byron, the NASCAR community on X couldn’t help but share their wishful thinking.

The NASCAR community can’t wait to get their hands on a William Byron Lego set!
