The occasional interview or media appearance was about as much as anyone could expect. But now things have changed. Fast forward, we arrive in the age of social media and podcasts. Suddenly we have an intimate look at the day-to-day lives of racing’s biggest names, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

On one side you get to see the best sides of your icons. On the other, you get to know even their most embarrassing habits. Similarly, in a recent episode of Dale Jr Download, Amy Earnhardt, the wife of Dale Earnhardt Jr, went fully nuclear, when she shared a hilarious yet eye-opening glimpse into the mannerisms of Dale Jr.

Race driver is known for their weird antiques inside the car. Sometimes they piss themselves inside the car and sometimes to the point of even unloading the whole package. So believing that they would follow a code of hygiene in normal life becomes a bit hard. It’s not easy, we understand. To quench many people’s curiosity, Amy Earnhardt spilled the truth on racers. Or at least she did on Dale Earnhardt Jr. She wasted no time letting the world know exactly what she was up against when she first got involved with Dale Jr.

The infamous story of the very first time she stayed at his condo is a true gem. Amy recalls the shocking moment when she walked into the bathroom to brush. Guess what, she found Dale Jr sitting on the pot behind her doing his morning deed. “I’m brushing my teeth and this man sits down behind me to take a number two and I turn around with my toothbrush in my mouth like what the hell and he goes oh yeah this is the way it’s going to be girl… I’m like the f–k it is I am out.. I couldn’t believe it that’s the kind of attitude I was dealing with in general” she disclosed.

This moment, as shocking as it may have been, isn’t the only thing that made it to Amy’s pet peeve. She continued, “I was just shocked… I grew up with two sisters, my Dad even went to the bathroom to fart he had supersonic manners and then this wild savage (comes) I’m like holy sh-t, this is way different and how am I going to get him at least (get him) a little bit (in) this direction”.

For Amy, the idea of someone doing these things was alien. She grew up in a very well-mannered household and switching from that to the life of an athlete’s partner became a culture shock.

But Dale Jr. in this whole bit, giggled himself from the start, for better or worse. He even joined in with Amy to point out some more embarrassing habits. “We’ll be sitting on the couch or anywhere in the house and if I fart she says go to the bathroom well here’s the and I’m like ah, I’m not going into the bathroom to fart that’s weird and she goes well you must sh-t if you’re farting, I’m like no it doesn’t actually work that way,” Dale Jr recalled on his farting habits. In Amy’s opinion, it is because of his weird dietary habits.

Sometimes Dale would go hunting and eat tons of red meat with dairy. Sometimes a bag of grapes right after consuming beef jerky, which causes vicious farts as per Amy.

Despite the often messy and embarrassing moments, Amy loves him. She shares their relationship is grounded in humor and undeniable love. And of course, respect for one another. The candid nature of Amy and Dale’s conversations highlights their relationship dynamics.

What stands out the most is their ability to laugh together, even when faced with difficult or awkward situations. Amy, while frustrated by Dale’s habits, isn’t without her own brand of wit and determination.
