There aren’t many drivers who race as passionately as Tony Stewart does. At 51, he’s trying out his hand at drag racing like it’s just the start of his career. It certainly resonates with his will to experiment with new experiences. However, one of his life’s recent events has made him question his own decision-making.
In today’s time, Stewart is one of the richest personalities in the racing industry. Being one of the all-time greats of the Cup Series thrice and a versatile driver with experience in dirt racing, IndyCar, and the NHRA does bring in handsome paycheques. While over the years, his net worth has multiplied, he certainly felt he was on the wrong track while making more money recently.

As last reported by CelebrityNetWorth, the Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner has a net worth of approximately $90 million. Over the years, he has built plenty of assets to his name. Most notably, one of his most exquisite-looking assets lies in Indiana. His 20,000 square feet long house is nothing less than a serene and peaceful getaway.
It comprises six bedrooms, 11 baths, a two-story waterfall, and a trout stream. Also, it includes a large guesthouse, a bowling alley, a gaming arena, a golf simulator, and plenty of other amenities. Truly, it offers everything which makes it surprising why Stewart put it on sale last year.
What’s more shocking is the price it was listed for. Stewart demanded $30 million for the house. Unfortunately for Stewart, it went unsold. However, his recent statements convey his happiness about it. He was candid about discussing this when he recently appeared on Dale Earnhardt Jr‘s podcast, The Dale Jr. Download.
The former Joe Gibbs Racing driver said, “Yeah, I went there [at the ranch] the other day. Got stayed there for three days and it was crazy and I even called Leah [Pruett] when I got everything unloaded. I started down the driveway and I saw a deer. Then, I got down, I saw two turkeys go across the driveway.”
It is worth mentioning that Stewart’s 415-acre plot is mostly covered by wooded forest. Interestingly it also serves as a licensed hunting reserve. As the Stewart-Haas Racing owner continued on the podcast, he said, “Then, I went past and actually went past the house across the dam a little bit and looked down the field to the left.
“[There were] seven elk down there, there’s two more turkeys runny across, there’s deer everywhere, saw a raccoon. And I’m like why did I put this thing on the market in the first place? I couldn’t believe, I turned into a kid when I went down the driveway the other day.”
Given how much he loves it, it comes as a surprise why Stewart was planning on selling it. Luckily, Dale Jr popped that question and got the much-needed answer.

While Junior asked out of curiosity, Stewart was more than happy to answer the reason behind selling his $30 million Indiana property. He said, “It’s simple though, why we did it. Everybody was mental, like that time, I mean if you had an acre of land that had rocks on it, people buying it cos they were just buying land.”
Further, he added, “And the other reason was Leah and I like to surf a lot, wake surf, well for us to go wake surf where we live, hour, hour and 15 minutes by the time you get the boat ready, get to the water, get it in water and then it’s an hour and a half going back, you got to take all time to clear it, dry it out so, I thought well we’ll look at it.”
