NASCAR salaries have decreased significantly over the years as the sport struggles with sponsorship problems. Although big teams are still willing to pay up for elite talent.

Here is a list of the top earners of the current NASCAR grid. Top guns like Busch, Jonson, and Hamlin feature in the top paid drivers list.

Kyle Busch- The Candy Man of NASCAR

In the last year, the 2019 Nascar Cup Series champion launched his own energy drink brand. Additionally. he appeared on a special episode of WWE RAW and on CMT’s Racing Wives. All the on-track success and extra off-track activities put his earnings at $ 17.8 million in the last year.

NASCAR Veteran Jimmy ‘Superman’ Johnson

After Busch, Johnson is a close second on the top earners’ list with an earning of $17.6 million in the last year. Despite being in his last NASCAR cup season, Jimmy tops the list in off-track earnings from endorsements with $2.8 million. He will be retiring at the end of 2020. Notably, Johnson stands at number three in the all-time earners list.

A big-time NASCAR top driver, Harvick sells more licensed merchandise than most of the drivers on the grid. His last year’s salary stands at $12.2 million. Major chunk comes from his deal with Haas-Steward Racing.

Martin Truex Jr.

Truex’s deal with Joe Gibbs Racing for the 2019 season pushed his salary into the top tier of NASCAR drivers. The deal came as a reward for his excellent performance in the Cup series. Last year, He made $11.5 million.

Other than the mentioned guys only Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, and Joey Logano earned upward of $10 million in the last year. Additionally, Former Chip Ganassi star driver Kyle Larson used to make close to $10 million. However, with his contract terminated his this year’s earning isn’t very certain.
