With the outreach NASCAR has in the United States, one can find all sorts of fans. Sometime last year, Brad Keselowski revealed that he has some fans among convicts in the country. The conversation cropped up when he spoke on the Endless Hustle podcast about a wooden football that was spotted in his home.

Keselowski said, “I have a lot of fans who are in prison, believe it or not. In the prison woodshop, one of them decided to make me a commemorative wooden football and sent it to me. When a fan gives you something nice like that, you have to accept it and it’s pretty cool. It’s a commemorative wooden football and somehow he got my team to sign it when I won the Xfinity championship in 2010. It’s pretty cool. I can’t remember what prison it was. Sorry, my memory is not that great. We love all of our fans, whether they’re incarcerated or not.”

Now, the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing driver will be awaiting the pre-season test at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Following that test and the test at the Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR can decide the rules package. The driver knows that this season will not be easy, especially since these are brand new cars, and they may take some getting used to.

However, the good news is that his experience could help him adapt quicker, and he can help the team develop the cars. Furthermore, he can also help his teammate Chris Buescher and the two of them can target Playoff spots. Of course, with the first race of the season at the LA Coliseum still less than a month away, the grid is a big unknown.
