Without a doubt, Joe Gibbs is a household name in the NASCAR Cup Series. Certainly, having won the competition five times as an owner is a big deal. However, it is not often that we get to see the 82-year-old use humor in his comments and reactions. But with Truex’s win at Dover, things were different.

Joe Gibbs was in the mood for some jokes at the press meet as he sheds light on his love for the iconic movie from 1974, ‘Young Frankenstein’. At the conference, Pockrass asked him, “Joe, I assume you have probably started talking about Martin next year. How far do you think or how important is winning a race do you think to trying to convince him to keep going?”

An elated Gibbs responded playfully saying ” You talked about, was that normal? No, it was Abby Normal.”

As the audience scratched their heads trying to figure out the reference, the former American football coach explains, “What movie? Young Frankenstein. C’mon what is wrong with you guys? It’s the best movie ever.”

However, it was his next statement that felt like a troll and engaged everyone in laughter. Gibbs said, “These guys they go at it every now and then because they are so competitive but uh what was the question?”
