To be honest, Watkins Glen was not as eventful as NASCAR fans expected it to be. With just one caution, and that too came out when Chase Elliott‘s 9 Chevy ran out of fuel, the fans were disappointed with the austerity of the race. Hence, the entire community looked forward to Daytona for some spirited racing action. After all, Daytona is infamous for an array of horrendous crashes. NASCAR does not promote accidents, but nobody can deny the thrill that revolves around the on-track squabbles.
And Daytona has lived up to its expectations. From Ryan Preece’s #41 Ford vaulting like an Olympic gymnast to the glitch-in-the-matrix move that Brad made to put out a fire in his car, last weekend’s race saw it all.
Drivers kept whirling their heads as Brad Keselowski kept whirling his cars

Technically, when a red flag comes out, NASCAR prohibits its drivers from moving at all. However, the RFK Racing owner breached the cardinal rule and started running circles on the infield. And that drew the attention of the fans as well as the drivers. The reactions that followed were enough to make a grown man roll on the floor laughing.
The driver of the number 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, Martin Truex Jr. was out of his wits when he saw his fellow contender execute that weird move.
He exclaimed, “What the h**l is Brad doing?”
Even Rowdy was taken aback. He chuckled, saying, “Brad’s on fire, his bun’s got too hot.” His spotter Derek Kneeland commented, “That’s interesting. That is kind of comical right there.”
33-year-old Ford icon Joey Logano had no idea what Brad Keselowski was doing. His spotter, Coleman Pressley, admitted to having never seen any like that before in his career. “Donuts without the cool factor, “ Logano said.
However, probably Ross Chastain’s comment was one of the funniest. The Trackhouse speedster joked, “The 6 looks like my dog when it has the zoomies.”
When it came to the sense of humor, Erik Jones did not lag behind at all. He laughed, saying, “Looks like when someone falls off a jet ski and it just kinda goes on its own.”
The number 9 Chevrolet Camaro sensation was just as clueless as Martin Truex Jr. was. He said, “I don’t know what that 6 is doing. They said he might be on fire. Got his own little race going on.”
For those who don’t know, NASCAR had fined Keselowski $25,000 for tweeting on a ref flag at Phoenix back in 2012. Alex Bowman regretted this rule of NASCAR and said, “That’s why we should have our cell phones in our cars This would make a great Instagram story post. People would love it.”
What did the man himself say while he sat circling his No. 6 Ford Mustang?
The in-car radio heard Brad say, “Starting to get fire in here. Get moving to get some air out of here. Aware! Trying to put it out. Use your binoculars if you can. We’ll see if it’s still on fire. I think it’s out.”

Spotter TJ Majors assured, “I don’t see anything, Brad, you look okay.”
“Smells really bad here, but I think it’s out,” added Brad Keselowski.
Fans joined in to add to the reactions, but they supported Brad’s innovation

When RFK Racing tweeted, “What is it about @keselowski and creating social media gold while under a red flag on the Daytona backstretch”, fans poured polarized comments on the same.
Skewcar commented, “We need a figure 8 for the next red flag at Daytona”
Another fan opined that even though it was against the rules, safety comes first. They wrote, “Brilliance is what! Safety should never be penalized. Nascar discretion in action! Eat it, haters 😁 great point of debate tho. Cheers!”

However, one of them just took the stakes high by devising a four-lined poem for the RFK Owner.

And thinking of someone for whom he still burns

He’s going the distance
He’s going for speed”
While another sided with Bowman saying, “Admin, convince NASCAR to let drivers have a phone in the car if they want. Bowman is right”
