Right off the bat, a question – Would you ever, like ever, in any state of mind, mistake Dale Earnhardt Jr. with Richard Petty solely on the basis of how they look? Because someone just did.
A contestant on Jeopardy recently got a question about identifying the #8 Budweiser driver, and her answer was Richard Petty.
Now sure, NASCAR drivers aren’t exactly the most well-known names and faces in the whole American sports pecking order, however, it’s Dale Jr. and the King, inarguably the two names who have transcended the sport itself.

Anyway, as you’d expect, NASCAR Twitter had a FIELD DAY with Martha’s response. In fact, the name Petty brought back some rather fun memories from not so long ago of the now infamous Dale Earnhardt Jr-Kyle Petty incident.

What is the whole Kyle Petty-Dale Earnhardt Jr thing all about?
Around a couple of months ago, Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the Dale Jr. Download was discussing the Ross Chastain incident (#45689) with Denny Hamlin, along with his co-host Mike Davis.
As they were talking about the incident itself, both Junior and Davis, who are great friends, by the way, began to disagree with each other on what actually happened – whether Chastain was responsible solely for putting himself into the wall or did Hamlin give him a push?

Soon enough, the Hall of Famer started to lose his patience, along with his filter, which was slowly slipping away.
“I think he lost control after the contact,” Dale Jr. said, to which Davis replied, “Well, that’s not what Kyle Petty said.”
