This weekend the NASCAR Cup Series fraternity moves to the Richmond Raceway in Virginia. Martin Truex Jr heads into this race as the pole-sitter after triumphing at the last race. Of course, there will be several eyes trained towards the skies as there may be concerns about rain.
However, the weather forecast suggests that they can expect cloudy skies for much of the weekend. Temperature-wise, NASCAR can expect a max temperature of 68°F and a minimum of 55°F throughout Saturday. Meanwhile, Sunday will experience cloudy weather again with temperatures ranging between 64°F and 52°F.

For this weekend’s race, Truex Jr has the advantage of pole after his Martinsville triumph. Once again, championship leader Denny Hamlin joins him on the front row. After missing out on a maiden win in 2021 again, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver will be desperate to cross the checkered flag first. To be honest, it is unheard of, to have a championship leader who has yet to win a race.

Considering that every race has produced different race winners, a Hamlin win is certainly feasible. However, the chances of someone else stealing his thunder are quite high. It is worth mentioning that another favorite to win will be Kyle Busch, as he has won five times at the track. This includes four wins on the trot at the Richmond Raceway.
Obviously, the changeable weather conditions could play a role in the Cup Series race. Until then, all we can do is guess who will be the winner.
