Teams are built on trust. Most teams that are made up of people who are able to trust each other find success, while others might not. Now, one might assume that Joey Logano might have a ‘team’, considering he just won the 2022 Cup Series championship but is everything as it seems?

A tweet from RACER Magazine’s Kelly Crandall insinuating a crack among the ranks of Team Penske has everyone’s ears perked up. The tweet read “Paul Wolfe was texting fellow Ford crew chief Rodney Childers during the race about advice and strategy. Wolfe said they have a pretty good relationship and try to help each other. “There are guys in the garage you can trust and guys you can’t.”

For context, Paul Wolfe is the crew chief for Joey Logano at Team Penske and Rodney Childers is the crew chief for Kevin Harvick at Stewart-Haas Racing. One team helping another, especially when they share the same manufacturer, does not fall foul of the regulations of NASCAR.
Therefore, it is unlikely that something much will come out of this. However, many people believe it is unsavory for a team not to be able to trust its members. Logano’s victory on Sunday in Phoenix is definitely soured in the eyes of fans by this new piece of information.

Logano pulled off a commendable victory on Sunday, and a lot of credit will definitely go to Paul Wolfe for it.
Fans are not happy with what the Joey Logano team just did
Joey Logano completed a wonderful season for Team Penske and himself with a brilliant victory on Sunday in Phoenix. But fans were not too happy with what was going on in the garages.

This feels very bad. This is not a good thing. Rodney should be 100% on the 4 team. That is what the 100% rule is for. This feels not good.
