As it turns out, the truckers are still in the same spot in the Daytona opener, exactly where they left it off, wrecking out and wreaking havoc just like they did in Phoenix last year. While the young sensation Nick Sanchez registered his first Daytona win, the fandom witnessed a horrific wreck as the field went haywire in the final lap, ticking off an avalanche that almost took the entire roster out.
Following the aftermath, Toyota driver and Truck Series phenom, Corey Heim went straight for the jugular, blasting his fellow drivers for their negligence, putting their lives at risk, and destroying millions worth of race equipment in the process.

Corey Heim snaps at his fellow drivers
Following the bland and lackluster 90 days of hibernation, NASCAR nation is all active, with discussions and debates popping out in every corner after the horrendous finish to the Truck Series race at Daytona. While the community anticipated a thriller of a race, they got a wreck, with drivers throwing caution to the wind with total disregard for safety.
In fact, the race had multiple cautions, but nobody expected a truck to be airborne in the final lap of the season opener. Taylor Gray was launched into the air after the wild fallout in the last lap of the race. Escaping the pile-up were race winners Nick Sanchez, Rajah Caruth, and Corey Heim, who were fortunate to be on the other side when things went awry.

Reflecting on the massive wreck, the Tricon Garage driver let out his frustration without mincing his words, taking it out on the entire field for their poor show. In his post-race interview, Heim said, “I guess just not wrecking for the most part. First of all, hope everyone is okay, and it’s crazy to see in my mirror, look bad but second of all, what a S**T show, I mean, now it’s crazy like, I mean, I’ve never avoided so many wrecks in my life, I can’t believe I had a clean drive.”
