Back in 2020, Bubba Wallace was really hoping to do well at the NASCAR All-Star Open race. But that didn’t happen as he was left without a car following a wreck.
Bubba was involved in a wreck with Michael McDowell during stage 1 of the All-Star Open race. Bubba was hit from behind by McDowell, causing Wallace to spin and crash into the wall.

During a post-race interview, Bubba called out McDowell and called him a “joke”.
He said, “I don’t even need to see a replay. Look at that. Yeah, wow. People say one of the nicest guys in the garage. Can’t wait for the God-fearing text he’s going to send me about preaching and praising respect. What a joke he is.”

In a later incident, Wallace took the wrecked bumper from his car and dropped it in front of McDowell’s hauler.

Apart from the glory behind winning the All-Star race, he also grabbed the $1 million winner’s prize. Kyle Busch seemed like he was in contention to win the race, but the brave Elliot held him off to take the chequered flag.
Meanwhile, Clint Bowyer won the highest fan vote. Martin Truex Jr. was initially supposed to start the race from pole position, but due to two technical failures, he was pushed all the way to the back of the grid. That resulted in Alex Bowman being gifted the pole position. That didn’t last for long either, as Alex was soon overtaken by Ryan Blaney, who won the first stage of the race.
The race was divided into 4 stages, each lasting 55, 35, 35, and 15 laps. All drivers also had the option to choose their restart lanes.
