It was always a given that the sale of Kyle Busch Motorsports would in some way affect the personal lives of the Busch family members. KBM has been part of the family for several years, and it being no longer there has seen Kyle and Samantha Busch make some changes to their lifestyle. One such change has to do with their house on Lake Norman, and Samantha Busch recently shared an update about the situation in her Instagram Story.
What was the reason behind the Busch family’s Lake Norman house for sale?
The Lake Norman house was out on sale reportedly in August last year with an asking price of around $13,000. However, the Buschs seem to have taken the listing off for the time being, and Samantha Busch revealed that they might end up not selling it after all. The listing was done before KBM’s sale to Spire, but since then, things have changed.

Speaking about their initial decision to sell the house, Samantha Busch said that it had a lot to do with KBM as well. The Lake Norman house might have looked extraordinary, but it was quite far from KBM’s shop in Mooresville. Commuting used to be a nightmare on bad days, and the family just wanted to find a way to lessen that extra effort.
“So when we sold KBM, we took our house off the market just to figure out what we were doing because the land that we bought was closer out to Mooresville. You know we were at KBM a lot of days a week and the drive which is like almost an hour from our house…way more if traffic or the timing of the day is bad. And so you know we were just trying to figure out how to lessen that commute,” Samantha Busch said.
However, the family seems to have reached a point where they are not sure what to do with the Lake Norman property. Traveling every day to Mooresville isn’t going to be necessary anymore, and the lakefront house is as beautiful as it gets. Now that the commuting issue is gone, what’s next for property?

At the moment, according to Samantha Busch, they are just taking the time to figure out what to do with the house. The family might end up staying at Lake Norman and selling the land in Mooresville. Interested buyers have had to hold their bids for the Cup Series star’s luxurious villa, and they will be waiting for a concrete answer about the future.
“When KBM sold, we kind of took it off the market and we’re on pause just trying to figure out, do we want to sell our house? It’s not that we don’t love our house, it’s just sometimes the drive out to Mooresville which now we don’t have to do quite as much is a lot with the kids so we’re kind of just at a standstill,” she said.
