In a recent uproarious exchange on the “Stacking Pennies” podcast, Corey LaJoie proved that while he might not be leading the pack in the NASCAR Cup Series, he’s undoubtedly steering the wheel of humor in the racing world. With a dash of hilarity and a pinch of patriotism, LaJoie and his crew served up some hearty laughs as they addressed the amusing misconception that Corey might actually be a French race car driver.

Co-Host Ryan Flores wasted no time diving into the comedic fray, dishing out the scoop on the Kelce brothers’ podcast award victory. “Yeah, they won an award we were up for. They were like, ‘We won it, But there was someone else up for it too…” Ryan gleefully reported, setting the stage for a hilarious tale of crossed signals.

Apparently, as the Kelce brothers discussed their award win on their podcast and mentioned a mysterious “Corey Lajà,” as confusion bubbled to the surface. “They were like, we won it. And these were the other people in there, and they were like this one, this one, and some Corey Lajà. I don’t know. I don’t know what he does. And they’re like, yeah. Must be a French race car driver; that’s why I’m serious. Must be a French race car. Do I get to find that clip album somewhere? But Corey Lizois? Lajo.” LaJoie’s co-host Flores laughed.

Cue the collective facepalm of LaJoie’s fans everywhere! Corey LaJoie swooped in to set the record straight. We’re American Dude. Get us straight,” LaJoie retorted.

For NASCAR fans, Jason and Travis Kelce brothers host a football podcast, ‘New Heights’. Jason Kelce from the Philadelphia Eagles and Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs. They team up to provide access to life in the NFL league as it unfolds. Continuing with our Lajà! The banter reached its crescendo, with Ryan Flores chiming in, still tickled by the hilarious misunderstanding. “I thought that was hilarious. And we beat Stacking Pennies with Corey…” Well, he didn’t need to know more about Lajoie’s Frenchness, as he probably got a frustrated look from Corey LaJoie.

This week saw Corey LaJoie electrify the scene by revealing a multi-year extension of his contract with Spire Motorsports, securing his position in the driver’s seat for the foreseeable future. However, his race weekend at Michigan International Speedway was a rollercoaster of triumphs and tumbles.

The thunderous roar of engines echoed as LaJoie’s #7 Chevrolet Camaro, ZL1, tore through the track during practice sessions. LaJoie’s car wiggled and wobbled in the treacherous Turns 3 and 4, painting an intricate display of skill and fate. Remarkably, the damage was nothing more than a superficial scrape.

Yet, the real fireworks were reserved for Sunday’s showdown between LaJoie and the tenacious Ryan Blaney. As their vehicles locked in wheel-to-wheel combat, the track became an arena of fierce determination and calculated risks. In a breathless instant, their machines made contact–a heart-stopping clash that could have spelled disaster. But the racing gods had other plans, as both cars remained on course, a testament to the fine line between triumph and turmoil.

Their rivalry reached a crescendo in the pit lane, where the two titans of the tarmac engaged in a post-race conversation. Corey LaJoie, with humility befitting a true sportsman, shouldered the blame for the incident. He candidly confessed, “I was a little bit late to cover the outside lane. I had a little wobble like I did yesterday in practice, and you had somebody on your door tight. I was just asking him, Man, do I take that slide job?”
