Will it be either of the RFK Racing drivers to lift the Cup Series championship trophy? It is too early to predict and deliver the verdict for a team that is still in its nascent stage. However, to make a case in favor of Brad Keselowski, and his co-owned team, RFK Racing, the two-member team has demonstrated enough potential to challenge the already established NASCAR teams.
Nevertheless, with both drivers booked in the playoffs, RFK Racing has all the reasons to be merry and looks forward to making a mark in the remaining 10 races. Yet, the only speck of dispiritedness among NASCAR enthusiasts is perhaps due to the winless streak of Brad Keselowski. The driver is yet to notch a victory in the 2023 season. And it seems that the co-owner has a plausible justification for his streak.

With the playoffs marking their beginning in a few days, the top 16 drivers couldn’t be busier than ever. Attending media conferences, answering endless questions, and posing for the camera—the past few days couldn’t be more hectic for these drivers.
Brad Keselowski, who seems to be bogged down with all his professional and personal commitments, is struggling to catch his breath as he appears for the media availability ahead of the race at Darlington.
In accordance with this, the driver-owner apparently enjoyed a serious nap as he dozed off on the benches of the media center. The sleep seemed to revitalize the driver and his spirits as he let out the secrets behind his winless streak in the 2023 season, despite delivering stellar performances throughout the season.
When asked by FOX NASCAR reporter Shannon Spake about the ‘well-rested’ Brad Keselowski’s and his teammate’s trajectory throughout the regular season, the RFK Racing driver expressed, “He has done a great job and we have been right there with him.”
“I think Chris and the 17th team had amazing speed at Richmond and they were a little bit faster than we were. I felt like at Michigan we were a little bit faster than they were. The strategy didn’t come our way, we didn’t get the yellow we needed.”
“Fast forward to Daytona, we were right there together with a one-two finish and pushing each other across the line so it easily could be either way on all three of those wins. Obviously, that’s not the case, but I feel like the good stuff is coming for us. We are saving our performances here for the playoffs when it really counts,” Keselowski added.

While many NASCAR insiders blamed the authority for being biased toward Keselowski, NASCAR’s Vice President of Competition, Elton Sawyer, poured insights into his interview with Sirius XM.
He stated, You’ve got to give Brad a lot of credit there and creativity there. So he just starts doing circles and we look up from the tower and it’s like, ‘What is going on?’ And as that all unfolded, you think about, ‘OK, is there a penalty there?’ And you think, ‘Well, he’s not advancing his position’ […]”

“No, there’s no penalty there. He hasn’t advanced his position. Obviously, he was completely away from the incident where we had safety vehicles cleaning up and attending to drivers. We looked at that as no harm no foul.”
With the playoffs approaching, it will be interesting to see how Keselowski and his team fare in the playoffs. Will the team be able to give tough competition, or does the team still have a long way to go before clinching a championship?
