Hendrick Motorsports had already been through much trouble with their recent penalties. However, we can’t forget about Chase Elliott‘s snowboarding fiasco which only added more problems to the HMS table. Even though, the 2020 Cup Series Champion already underwent successful surgery, he would remain out of the car for a good chunk of the upcoming races. Having said that, it was recently announced that Elliott would be present at the Circuit of the Americas this weekend, but in a different capacity altogether.

FOX: NASCAR recently announced their latest addition in the commentary box. Despite having accomplished people commentating on the event already, they decided it would be refreshing to have a driver join in the mix as well. As per the latest reports, Elliott would be remotely joining the FOX broadcast during the Cup Series race at COTA.

Will it be a good idea to have Chase Elliott in the NASCAR booth?

Hopefully, the broadcast would not be as bad as the fans predict it to be. It would definitely bring a fresh perspective to the table during the race. However, what’s certain is that Elliott belongs on the race track and not the broadcast booth. Fans would be looking forward to seeing him back out on track whenever that happens.
