In the recent episode of the Pretty Intense podcast, Danica Patrick discussed dating as well as the concept of masculinity with podcaster and YouTuber Chris Williamson. During her conversation with him, Patrick revealed what, according to her, women want from men.
Patrick urges men to embrace feminity
The former Xfinity Series driver said, “Well, there’s definitely a call by women for men to get more in touch with their feelings to be able to open up more. Like women are craving a connection that goes beyond just providing. We want (an) emotional connection. So, there is an ask being made for sure.”
Further, Patrick shared that both men and women have the divine feminine and masculine within them. She explained that women today are happy to step into their masculinity and stand up for themselves. Moreover, not being dependent on a ‘provider’ is acceptable and rather praised by society.

However, she was curious if men too are comfortable stepping into their femininity. She asked Williamson if the men also practice that balance or engage in activating the femininity within them.
To this Williamson replied, “It’s difficult to try and find a place as a man to like embrace femininity. Especially, because of the way that you grow up that it’s status competition between you and other guys. It’s very rare that other guys are going to tell other guys that they need to be more feminine. ‘Hey man, you should really embrace your feminity.’ (Patrick laughs) Think about it.”
Although Patrick accepted Williamson’s explanation to be true, it seems that all she wants from men is to connect more with their feelings. Her past relationships might have been a huge contributing factor to making her realize how important it is for men to be more open and comfortable about their feelings.
