Recently, NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace appeared in an interview with The Spun. Over here, he talked about working with NBA legend Michael Jordan and what he was like. For most people, it would be absolutely surreal to meet a legend of Jordan’s caliber. Wallace himself confessed that he was thrilled to be taken under the former NBA star’s wing.

He said, “It’s honestly been really cool to be a part of MJ’s team. To be under his wing and just to really learn who he is as a person. I enjoy every conversation that we have, every interaction that we have, and it’s pretty cool. I rarely ever get starstruck, I don’t know if I ever really have. And to me, MJ’s just another guy that is passionate about what he likes to do, and is competitive and we share a lot of the same core values. So, it’s really cool.”

What lies ahead for Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing?
For the moment, the #23 driver is hoping to snatch a decent finish in the remaining NASCAR Cup races. There is a little bit of pressure on him because his teammate Kurt Busch has won a race already. The African-American driver will be expected to join the #45 driver in the Playoffs soon. To do that, he will have to try and win one of the next 10 races, starting with this weekend’s race at the Nashville Superspeedway.

Of course, the driver knows that things will not be easy and he has to fight for the win. His Talladega win last year proved that he has the capability to win. This year as well, he has put in some decent performances but has often been unlucky. Now, Bubba Wallace will be hoping that Lady Luck smiles on him for once in his life. One win is all it takes to sneak into the Playoffs and boost 23XI Racing’s title chances.
