He said, “I wonder why we’re doing it in the middle of the day in July. We need to ask our friends at NBC why that’s the case. They [NASCAR] need to spend time in Atlanta in July, maybe they will think about putting it at night for us. But more importantly for the people watching down the road.”
“I think it’s great that we have two races here, this is a great track to have two events in the heart of the South-East. I definitely think we should reconsider those things, but it’ll be hot and we’ll try to be hydrated and prepared.”
“That’s all you can do, embrace it.”

Currently, the Cup Series drivers are looking ahead to qualifying at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Admittedly, the home hero has not had such a great track record at the superspeedway. His best-ever finish at the track is 5th, which was all the way back in 2017.
At this juncture, it is very difficult to predict where he will finish this weekend. This is because qualifying has not yet begun, so no one knows where he will start on the grid.
