The return of Jimmie Johnson to NASCAR
JJ is a massive star of the NASCAR world. He became the first and only driver in NASCAR history to win five consecutive Cup Series Championships (2006-2010). With those five and having won two more later he stands in the league of Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. The man also has two Daytona 500 wins among his eighty-three career wins. He spent two decades with Hendrick Motorsports before leaving the Cup Series after the 2020 season. He later stepped away from a full-time racing schedule and returned in 2022 with exciting news for fans. Johnson announced his return as a part-time driver and part-owner at Petty GMS starting in 2023. The entire NASCAR world was delighted with the news of seeing their favorite back in action in the Cup Series starting with the Daytona 500, in 2023.
