Back in the 2019 NASCAR Cup season, Kyle Busch had a bit of an on-track altercation with Bubba Wallace. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver confessed that it was “surprising” since Wallace raced for his Truck team in his early career. Busch said, “I would say it’s kind of surprising, I guess, that you get into with two former drivers because, I guess, you would kind of expect a little bit more or different from them than you would say some other competitors out there. I guess I just didn’t quite get that. Overall, as far as conversations went … was better understanding between the both of them. Move forward.”

What did Kyle Busch say on the situation between them?
Busch revealed that his little spat with Bubba Wallace originated long before Watkins Glen. The #18 driver said that a couple of races ago, he tried to set up an overtake. Wallace made a mistake at Turn 3 and Kyle Busch was around his outside through Turn 4. Unfortunately, the #43 driver didn’t see him and ran him off the track, compromising him.
As a result, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver entertained the idea of enacting his revenge. Of course, he did not intend to crash into Wallace, but things escalated. So, Bubba Wallace obviously decided to have the last word when they traded paint and he spun Busch around.
