The weekend race at Talladega Superspeedway turned out to be a fantastic result for Richard Childress Racing’s Kyle Busch. Although, for most of the part none would have thought that it would be Busch taking home the chequered. However, after the last lap chaos which saw Bubba Wallace getting wrecked out, Busch found his footing and rode home to grasp his second win with RCR.

After the race, Busch addressed the media in a press conference, where he fielded questions about his past difficulties at superspeedways before joining RCR. In addition, he was asked whether his recent surge in confidence could be credited to the team.

The query underscored his remarkable showing in the year’s first two plate races, where he emerged as a formidable competitor. In response, Busch swiftly crafted a remark that playfully took a jab at RCR.

In response, Busch stated, “I wouldn’t say today we contended much. We got up front there for a little bit, then we came off of pit road really, really good in that second stage I believe behind Chase, and the 24 was with us. Then we caught up with the Fords.”

“Then we all got misconjobulated, shucked me to the back, I was in the back again. The 9, I think he won that stage. That must have been the finish of stage two. Yeah, our average running position and where we ran for most of the day wouldn’t have showed we contended much. But take ’em as they come. It was just like a 200-mile-an-hour parade lap.”

A last-minute decision by his crew chief to bring Busch in for additional fuel went unheard, leaving the No. 8 to continue in the two-lap dash. Meanwhile, Ryan Blaney’s contact with Wallace ignited a late-race collision. Therefore, sealing Busch’s first-place position as the RCR driver.
