The NASCAR Xfinity Series race concluded with last year’s part-time sensation Ty Gibbs winning the race. However, it was a very action-packed race for the #54 driver. This was largely thanks to #39 driver Ryan Sieg, who he battled with throughout the race. Later on, he got black-flagged for failing to meet minimum speed. With regard to the incident, he appeared to force Gibbs to the high lane, but he spun out of the race himself.

Afterward, a fuming Gibbs stormed up to Sieg and had some harsh words with him. There was an earlier incident between them, and Sieg tried to retaliate, but only cost himself. In the end, the poor driver could only last 25 laps before pulling in to retire. To further compound his misery, Gibbs romped to his first win of the 2022 season.
After a fair bit of wheel-banging, Sieg’s #39 RSS Racing car sustained some right-rear damage. As a result, poor old Ryan Sieg limped back to the pits for repairs. When they collided, Sieg’s car slammed the outside wall at Turn 4 but was able to continue racing. Soon after that, the race was halted due to adverse weather conditions. Naturally, both drivers took the time to clear the air between each other.

Ryan Sieg said, “So he’s got the best car out here, way out from everybody. Just not smart on his part. I mean, we’re trying to just survive and make it through these two (races), and just riding along and then all of a sudden get packed with air and you’re already free. But just sucks for our CMR guys. I mean, all of our guys work hard. No, he’s definitely, probably gonna learn his lesson, if you know what I mean.”
For his part, Ty Gibbs accepted the blame, though he declared that everyone was packed underneath each other. Later on, everything happened way too quickly. It was his mistake that he didn’t have enough time to get out of his predicament. As a result, he elected to be the better man and apologize.

However, when the race resumed, Sieg attempted to get even by squeezing Gibbs high. However, he lost control of his car and collided with Sheldon Creed and Brett Moffitt.
