Red Bull started their NASCAR venture called ‘Team Red Bull‘ in 2006. The team bought off old racing facilities from Roger Penske and was headquartered in Mooresville.
However, after running for 5 seasons the company decided to sell off the venture to BK Racing. The team ran Dodge cars for its first season and shifted to Toyota the next year.
After that, the team scored its first ‘Top-10’ finish at the 2007 Auto Club 500 at Fontana, California. The team’s first ‘Top-5’ finish came in the 2007 Coca-Cola 600 which is NASCAR’s longest race. Next year, AJ Allmendinger won the Sprint Showdown and qualified for the All-Star race. Additionally, Brian Vickers took his first win with the team in 2009.
