Jimmie Johnson shares a heartwarming video sent to him by his Hendrick Motorsports number 48 car spotter. His spotter sent the rap video to Jimmie to wish him an early recovery.

After the news of Johnson clearing the health test for the Kentucky race came out Jimmie Johnson posted a video on Twitter thanking everyone for their support.

He wrote, “It’s been an emotional journey and I’m so happy to be back. Thank you for all the support. This video was one of my favorites and is too good not to share, courtesy of @bigearl48. See you soon @kyspeedway.”

In the video, he sings, “To our brother Jimmie, we miss you at Indy. We wish you were here but since you aren’t. enjoy a beer. I’ll do good for Allgaier but if I say I like it, I would be a liar. Kick this flu in the ace so you could get back here and race.”

After that, he wished Jimmie and his family a speedy recovery. He said, “Hey, Jimmie hope you and the kids and [Chandra] are ok. Sure do miss you here, we are thinking about you, praying for you. Get back soon.”

Jimmie Johnson will return for the Kentucky race

Earlier today, Hendrick Motorsport gave an official statement announcing that Jimmie Johnson has recovered from COVID-19. He passed all the prescribed NASCAR tests and is clear to race in Kentucky.

The announcement came as a relief for fans and the team alike as many people were speculating that if Jimmie faces mild to complex symptoms he might be out of the grid for a longer period of time.

In the statement, Jimmie thanked everyone for their support and expressed his excitement for the upcoming race at Kentucky. He said, “My family is so grateful for the incredible love and support we’ve received over the last several days,”
