During the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Bristol Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson seized victory. However, he had to really work hard for it, as a few opponents hounded him. Chief among them was Kevin Harvick, who had already gotten on the bad side of Chase Elliott.
Sometime during the race, a recovering Harvick chased after Larson for the race lead. However, that was as far as he got, because the Hendrick Motorsports driver was driving the widest car on the track. The #4 driver even bumped Kyle Larson a couple of times, but the latter refused to give way.

In the end, Kyle Larson triumphed ahead of the Stewart-Haas Racing driver. Meanwhile, poor old Harvick was left fuming after his altercation with Chase Elliott. In his mind, the Elliott run-in hampered his progress and allowed William Byron to overtake him briefly. By the time he cleared the defending champion and reached Byron, Larson was too far ahead.
This was the best chance for Kevin Harvick

All year long, a race win has eluded the #4 driver, and this was one of his best chances. Sadly, thanks to Elliott, it was not to be, and Kevin Harvick will have to try again next time. Apparently, Harvick himself knew how important this win was, and he later confronted Elliott on pit road after the race.
One thing led to another, and it resulted in a heated spat between the two drivers. It did not help matters that the crowd was mostly on Elliott’s side, since he is hugely popular. Nevertheless, the duo eventually decided to take their discussion inside Chase’s trailer. Whether the two of them have sorted things out and cleared the air, is anybody’s guess.
