At the NASCAR Annual awards, the 2021 Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson had a night to remember. The Hendrick driver was honored by the NASCAR community after his historic season. But Larson also made sure that he thanked those who have helped him reach where he is now.
The 29-year-old driver thanked all the key cogs in his success, one of which, and probably the most important one was his wife, Katelyn Larson. And one thing that came out clear after Larson’s message for his wife is that the champ knows how to hit them in the feels and make them laugh at the same time.
“I’m lucky to spend this life with you, Katelyn. Even though I’m not sure how I feel about you stealing thunder in victory lane while you shotgun your beers,” Larson said as the crowd laughed.

And afterward, rightfully, he asked what most of us have on our mind – “Can we get this girl a beer sponsorship yet?”

It’s only right that Katelyn gets a beer sponsorship. Because whenever her husband wins, she celebrates by shotgunning an entire can of beer. So, keeping in mind Kyle Larson’s promise of winning even more titles, any beer company that sponsors his wife will find the association quite profitable.
Kyle Larson took a moment to thank Chip Ganassi for his faith
After thanking those who were instrumental in his success, Larson thanked Chip Ganassi, without whom his NASCAR career wouldn’t even exist. Larson recalled his time coming off from dirt racing a decade ago.
He said, “Back in 2012, as a relatively unknown racer from California, I went to North Carolina and met with a lot of the teams in here tonight. I remember feeling defeated as we headed to CGR expecting the same sort of conversation.”

But Chip Ganassi took a bet on the young driver then and signed him on.

Of course, Larson was also fired by Chip Ganassi in 2020. But that incident was also a huge point in his career, both personally and professionally.

And while Hendrick Motorsports stood by his side in his professional life, it was his wife, Katelyn Larson, who was there through it all.
