Recently, Kyle Larson made an appearance at the Placerville Speedway dirt race. This was because he was participating in the Midget car race. He found some familiar faces there; among them was his Hendrick Motorsports teammate and 2020 Cup champion, Chase Elliott. Ahead of the race, both Larson and brother-in-law Brad Sweet helped coach Elliott.
Speaking to Larson he admitted that when he came off the tube, he felt that his angle was too jacked. The 2021 Cup Series champion advised Elliott that when he is on the lower end of the track, he has to go sideways. Meanwhile, Sweet told him that when he goes side-by-side with another car, rivals expect him to go across. This puts them in the mindset that they have to lift off the throttle.

What did Kyle Larson tell Chase Elliott?
Larson praised Elliott and thought that he had a couple of good runs. He said, “I thought you looked good there. Like you just needed to get coughing, bobbing it in and sliding, like you’re trying to run the bottom.”
All in all, Larson was doing a great job of helping his teammate. While all that was going on, the Asian-American driver himself was showing that he is a force of nature in any racing machine. It is worth mentioning that this race is good practice for him, ahead of the Chili Bowl Nationals in a few days’ time.

Kyle Larson has won the event the last two times and will be hoping to make it a hat-trick. The California native is well-known for being one of the most versatile drivers in the NASCAR and motorsports arena. No matter what kind of machine he has under him, he always finds a way to succeed in it. Of course, the real battle begins in less than a month, with the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season approaching rapidly.
