Recently, defending Cup champion Kyle Larson had a casual conversation with former driver Danica Patrick. Over there, they had a good laugh over a few exchanged stories. One of them centered around the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s vocabulary struggles. Patrick recalled one particular incident where he happened to call her ‘bulky’.

He said, “As you know, I’m not the greatest with words”. To that, she clarified, “L Has called me Bulky”. In all honesty, it isn’t something that one really tells a woman. Nevertheless, she appeared to forgive him for his faux pas. Larson also cleared the air about the word. He admitted, “I meant like, strong, like it was meant as a compliment.”

Danica Patrick also reminisced about an incident when they were having breakfast. However, Larson had an answer for his comments on that. He confessed, “First of all, I don’t eat breakfast. It was the beef hash, I think it was called. I blame my mom for that, she’s worse than I am. You need to spend some time around my mom and you would understand. Why my brain and my mouth don’t work together. That’s probably a reason why she’s always behind the camera, for sure.”

Coming back to calling her ‘bulky’, he insisted that he meant it as a compliment. Kyle Larson was also glad that she understood what he was trying to convey. Patrick guessed that he probably meant that she was muscular, and let it go. At that point, a clearly flustered Larson wanted to move on from the subject before he ‘put his foot in his mouth’ again.
