The current crop of NASCAR drivers is far from immortal. Eventually, the time will come when they will have to hang up their boots and make way for the next generation.
However, there will also be a time when these drivers’ names will return once again, courtesy of their children. Kyle Busch already had a bit of a head-start, before Clint Bowyer joined in. Kevin Harvick is also a proud father this week after his son Keelan, who started his karting career earlier this year, won a race this week.
However, unlike Kyle and Clint, Harvick’s son Keelan is racing in go-karts. Meanwhile, Cash Bowyer and Brexton Busch are competing in the Beginner Box Stock car series. Admittedly, Keelan is starting a little bit lower than the other two, but he could vault up the pecking order.

In a recent video on Kevin Harvick’s Instagram, Keelan went on to grab a maiden karting victory. Obviously, he is taking after his father in that regard.

What lies ahead for Kevin Harvick in 2021?
Kevin Harvick ended 2020 as the regular-season champion but missed out on the Championship 4. In 2021, he will be eager to correct that oversight and go all the way. However, consistency is key over here and he needs to win at just the right moments to qualify.

The race at Martinsville was the perfect example, as he found himself needing one more place. Unfortunately, Kyle Busch proved to be an impenetrable force, so Kevin Harvick resorted to desperate tactics. To be exact, he tried to take Busch out of the race on the final lap, but it backfired.

Now, Harvick will have to try again in the next season. Hopefully, for his sake, he can repeat his nine-race-winning season and deliver a stronger campaign. Obviously, replicating such a dominant season is easier said than done, but stranger things can happen in the world of NASCAR.
