Last weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway, Harrison Burton stunned many when he won the race. This time around, he proved that it was not a flash in the pan, as he has now driven to Victory Lane in Martinsville. Safe to say, father Jeff Burton was absolutely thrilled on both occasions.
Apparently, the broadcast was running out of time, so Burton Jr had to be interviewed in the car itself. It is also worth noting that Harrison is now the youngest race winner at Martinsville at 22 years and 22 days. Incidentally, he broke the record set by his own father.

Speaking after the race, Burton Jr said, “I heard my old man get on the radio, and that was pretty special. He’s funny. I’m on TV and he’s probably hating that because he tries to stay as unbiased as possible and avoids talking about me.
“He was probably excited to talk to me, just a little bit nervous. So that was awesome to have my dad talk to me.”
Burton praised his parents for sacrificing a lot in their life, and he wanted to repay them in kind. He acknowledged that their efforts and support meant a lot to him. Harrison Burton confessed that it probably took a lot out of his family, and now his family circle has extended to include the team.

This win marks Burton’s fourth win in the season and has proven that he is in fine form. Hopefully, it should help him get noticed by another team or earn him a contract extension.
