Kyle Busch and Joey Logano added another chapter to their story at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. Busch and Logano made contact very early on in Stage 2 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race as the two men were battling for the lead.
Back at the Bristol Motor Speedway last week, Logano and Busch were involved in a tangle as Logano came in Busch’s way, who was battling Kevin Harvick for the lead.
On Sunday at Las Vegas, Logano and Busch held the top two spots early in the second stage. The two men were running quite close to each other, and suddenly Busch slid up into Logano in a ‘three-wide for the lead’. Denny Hamlin made a smart move and slid past the two drivers for the lead.

Joey Logano forced to pit soon after contact with Kyle Busch
The contact forced Logano to pit due to tire rub, and he lost his lead, falling way behind. Earlier in the race, Logano had an incident with Chase Elliott as well. Logano made a block on Elliott, who was not pleased one bit.
Denny Hamlin took the opening stage of the Las Vegas race. Logano and Busch finished just behind him.

Right after last week’s incidents at Bristol, an angry Kyle Busch called Joey Logano ‘nobody’s friend for a reason’. Logano fired back at those comments saying he does not go to the racetrack to make friends.
“I have zero friends on the racetrack, zero. Because I have ‘business relationships’. That’s what they are out there. We’re all competing to try to win. They’re going against me. No friend is gonna do that. No friend is gonna try to take food out of your child’s plate,” Logano said.
The two men had one of their fiercest incidents at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway itself. A few years ago, in 2017, they literally fought on the track after a race, leaving Busch bleeding a bit.

Sunday’s contact was not too directly damaging and didn’t seem like anyone’s fault. But it did affect the momentum of the race, as Logano did not quite recover since.
